Resources for new British crime drama ‘Sket’

Our educational website takes a close look at the film and the issues it explores, with material suitable for students of Media, Film Studies and PSHE at ages 15-19. The resource covers aspects of health and lifestyle choices, identity, relationships and risk, as well as considering aspects of representation, genre and audience. Film Education held a special screening of Sket in central London on 21 October, with a Q&A after the film featuring the director Nirpal Bhogal, three of the young cast and two representatives from a local project designed to help young people get away from gang life. Materials from the event will be going online next week. Sket is in cinemas from 28 October.
